Kurt Jackson’s exhibition Crab and Lobster, the latest of a series of projects focusing on the richness and diversity of the natural world, looks at crustaceans. In focussing at an apparently mundane group of animals Kurt Jackson aims to celebrate their uniqueness.
This body of work explores this group of creatures and the fishery through the media of paint, line, print and sculpture. This exhibition will also include work created in response to the raising and rearing of young lobsters for release and relocation that is now an established part of the fishery.
